Justin Peterson is an award-winning Indie artist for over 15yrs. He is best known for mastering and editing client vocals and musical compositions of any type as founder, owner, and CEO of Reel Lyph Records & Entertainment.
Born January 1986 in Newburgh NY into an impoverished but happy and stable family of three sisters and a single mother, Justin contributes his passion for music to his humble beginnings and a supportive mother through his lifetime quest to learn how to harness his desire to create the music he could hear in his soul. As time progressed he became a family man blessed with two daughters, but struggles and burdens caused music dreams to fade as responsibilities determined events for a time. At age 23, the overwhelming love of music set free his constricted path with a leap of faith into his lifelong dream as Reel Lyph Records became a reality. Concentrating on learning the basics of music production, gathering knowledge of and utilizing tools of the trade propelled the dream into fruition as the community became increasingly aware of his talents. Attending church service as a devoted member of the congregation allowed him to provide his talents as a sound technician in humble praise for his successes and surrounding him with support from family, friends and the community.
Justin will graduate April 5th, 2019 from Full Sail University with a well-deserved GPA of 3.76 in Music Technology enabling him to develop context and concepts which set him apart by example having won several awards and many accolades in recognition for “out of the box” instrumental creations and television placement cues. In February 2019 his work was featured in commercials for the NBA with UnitedMasters garnering praise among peers as his lifelong dream blazes a trail through the music industry. As every artist has a different vision, each of Justin’s projects is approached differently but still has the same professional quality result. His style is quickly becoming renown as one which puts power in the hands of his clients, taking music as far as you can go with a unique touch using the best tools available in his acoustically treated audio studio.
Plans are underway for a brick and mortar home for Reel Lyph Studios. Devoted to staying knowledgeable and current with technology and trends in the music industry only serves as evidence to his commitment for his passion and lifetime desire to use sounds that have the power to make us smile, bring us to tears, carry us back in time and inspire us to dance in the moment.
